BIO

Actor, choreographer, playwright, musician and trainer.

Born in Angok Nsuebot, Equatorial Guinea, he has lived in Spain since 1996, where he trained in the performing arts. In theatre he has worked with Spanish directors such as Juan Carlos Pérez de La Fuente, Alfonso Zurro, Antonio Mercero, Román Calleja and Santiago Sánchez, with whom he created the project ¨Orígenes¨ in Equatorial Guinea in 2008.

Author and director of the works: El Percusionista, Abáah, Re-Ciclo and Ngoan Ntangan dos mundos que se tocan, choreographer and artistic director of many international events. In cinema, he has starred in the feature films Dear Bamako and Omer Oke’s Kripan’s Cause. Creator of the Edu’Art project, performing art in the service of education.

Since 2008, Gorsy Edu has focused his efforts on promoting and disseminating the cultural heritage of Equatorial Guinea, developing artistic and pedagogical proposals through cultural exchange projects in Africa, Europe and Latin America; to date he has visited Burkina Faso, Mali, Morocco, Spain, Portugal, Paraguay, Argentina, Bolivia, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Colombia and Ecuador.
