Synopsis

Madagascar, today. Twenty-year-old Kwame struggles to make a living in the clandestine sapphire mines. An unexpected event brings him back to his home village where, reunited with his mother and old friends, he is confronted with the rampant corruption that plagues his country. Kwame will have to choose between easy money and loyalty, between individualism and political awakening.
