Synopsis

At the age of 19, Mohammed – Donga – immerses himself in the 2011 Libyan uprising armed only with his camera. Raised under the Gaddafi dictatorship, he is determined to record everything he sees: the protests, the war against ISIS and the civil war of 2019. His footage captures everyday survival, humour and community feeling. This intensely personal journey will transform him and show us how the collective disillusionment with the 2011 uprising did not bring the hoped-for peace to the country. Nevertheless, Donga does not despair: “We believe in change!”
